It had been a dream of ours to own a 'Bed & Breakfast' like business for some time. Before moving to the Adirondacks, Bill was a Banquet Manager at various New Jersey wedding halls and Judy worked at a Chase Bank in New York City commuting everyday from New Jersey. In 1996 our daughter Marina was born and shortly after we started looking for a Motel/B&B/Campground. The search lasted for 4 years, during which our son Billy was born. When we pulled up to the 'Alpine Country Motel' in Wilmington NY we knew it was a perfect match. It took us 4 years but we waited until we found the right fit for our family. We liked that it was only 12 miles from Lake Placid and 3 miles from Whiteface Mountain. With blood, sweat and tears we have completely renovated (OK so mostly Bill) every room to make it what it is today...clean, comfortable, and charming. About 10 years ago we added another member to our family. Lucy is our little Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso (sorry to say, she doesn't get along well with other dogs so please leave your pets at home).
