Owned and operated by the Parlanti family since 1999, A Taste of Italy has been bringing traditional Sicilian cuisine and culture to Midlothian, Virginia for almost fifteen years. The restaurant strives to continually provide its customers with fresh, delicious Italian food of the highest quality while maintaining a warm, modern, and comfortable environment where everyone is considered family.
Born in Torretta, a town located on the outskirts of Palermo, Sicily, Rosario Parlanti dreamed of one-day passing down to his own children the time-honored culinary traditions of his family. His wife Marianna helped make this dream come true, and after raising their own family in Brooklyn, New York for many years, they decided to settle down in Virginia. Opening a restaurant was the natural choice, as the Parlanti family knew that they wanted to share their modern take on traditional Italian fare with their new neighbors.
