ArtGuru says that he has turned inward, recognized the healing power of art, and wishes to share his insight with millions of people. He is founder of the Michigan nonprofit ArtGuru Foundation, whose mission is to use art to help people who suffer from depression, muddled thinking, mental crises, and mental breakdown to heal.

ArtGuru subscribes to the theory that every emotion is but a form of chemistry in one's body. Happiness is one form of chemistry, sadness another. It has been proven via modern science that art can help and empower people, including those suffering from emotional illness.

The ArtGuru Foundation aims to bring art to everyone's life. The foundation's school offers classes created by ArtGuru, which merge the yogic science of the east with the art therapy of the west.
