When Clinic Manager Daniel Brown started working at JDC three years ago he always knew he had his sights set on a manager position. His hard work and dedication to patient care has led him to lead a staff of seven at the Chimney Rock location in West Houston. Chimney Rock stands out, because of the way staff care for and love their patients. They make sure guests are comfortable from the moment they walk in, to the second treatment is done. Perhaps that's why the staff is continuously complimented by patients for their kindness and ability to make them feel at home. It all starts with a morning routine in which the Chimney Rock team goes over the schedule for the day to better prepare the staff on what to expect. During that time they also review what can make a patient's experience better. Once patients begin arriving for appointments, they are introduced to attending staff with a big smile and a handshake. Patients are introduced to the staff, familiarized with what type of treatment that will be done, quoted the estimated amount of time the treatment will take and introduced to the doctor who will be performing it. This allows the patients to feel in control and know exactly what is going on at all times. Daniel recalls a specific patient who came in very concerned with her teeth because she hadn't been to see a dentist in over 10 years. The staff reassured her, and complimented her on taking the first step by coming in to the clinic to take care of her teeth. The staff educated her on the proper ways to brush and floss, and provided her with a dental kit. The patient was very happy and couldn't thank them enough. The patient came back with her husband on the same day to receive treatment, because she was so pleased with the care she received.
