Climbing trees is the most physically demanding and dangerous aspect of our service. It takes many years to acquire the skill to perform efficiently while aloft. Here Jacob Outram maneuvers into a difficult position to cut a limb overhanging a neighboring property.

Some trees are small enough that they do no need to be climbed, but are beyond the capabilities or time constraints of the client to handle. Here Kelly Outram is carefully taking apart a small apple tree.

In many instances, a job site will contain too many obstacles to simply drop branches and wood from a tree. When there is no room to safely and cleanly drop a piece, it must be rigged down. Here Jacob Outram is cutting a branch that has been tied through a friction saving pulley. It will be safely lowered by a ground person, currently out of the shot.

Many of our clients request for us to cut their felled trees into blocks of firewood. Some request that we take the wood away completely. This is one of the most physically demanding aspects of our service, as it must often be carried by hand to where it can be loaded onto a vehicle.

This poplar could't fit into a safe fall zone in one piece, so Jacob is cutting the top off first. Kelly and Donald set up a pull rope hooked up to a chainsaw winch on the ground to make sure the tree top falls in the right direction.
