Als mondhygiënisten bevorderen we professionele, preventieve mondzorg voor patiënten. Een mondhygiënist/e heeft vanzelfsprekende plaats naast andere zorgverleners in de gezondheidszorg. Mevrouw Rini de Zwart en ik Wadjiha Moqbel zijn deskundig op het gebied van de preventieve mondzorg. Wij richten ons primair op de preventie van gaatje in de tanden en kiezen en op het voorkomen van de tandvleesaandoeningen.Wij werken toekomstgericht aan de bevordering van onze kwaliteit, goede zorgverlening en professionele beroepsuitoefening. Uiteraard volgen wij bijscholingen, bijeenkomsten en congressen. Daarnaast zijn wij lid van de Nederlandse vereniging mondhygiënisten (NVM), Kwaliteitsregister (KRM), Nederlandse Tijdschrift voor tandheelkunde.
Onze doel is om aan iedereen goede zorg te verlenen die het behoeft. Een leven lang een gezonde, schone mond. Wie wil dat niet? De mondhygiënist, als specialist op het gebied van preventieve mondzorg, kan een extra belangrijke bijdrage leveren aan de kwaliteit van uw mondgezondheid (gebit, tandvlees en mondhygiëne)!
Advies:
Sommige aandoeningen in uw lichaam kunnen de kwaliteit van uw gebit en tandvlees beïnvloeden, of andersom. Bijvoorbeeld als u diabetespatiënt bent, of aan een hart- of vaatziekte lijst. Juist als u zwanger bent, is een bezoek aan de mondhygiënist aan te raden.
Kosten:
Bijna alle zorgverzekeraars vergoeden de kosten van de behandeling door de mondhygiënist geheel of gedeeltelijk, afhankelijk van de aanvullende verzekering voor tandheelkundige hulp. Voor personen tot 18 jaar vergoedt de verzekeraar de behandeling vanuit de basisverzekering. Bespreekt u vooraf de kosten van de behandeling met uw mondhygiënist. Dit voorkomt mogelijke problemen achteraf.
Rechtstreeks toegankelijk:
Sinds 1 mei 2006 heeft u als patiënt geen verwijzing meer nodig voor een bezoek aan de mondhygiënist. U kunt zonder doorverwijzing, rechtstreeks bij de mondhygiënist terecht.
